Officials of the Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency have conducted an advocacy and sensitization tour to Traditional Institutions in the State. The train was at the palaces of Balah Waja, Emir of Deba and Emir of Yamaltu yesterday. The team spoke about the objectives of establishing the new agency, its mode of operation and the benefits the scheme will bring to the good people of Gombe State.

Ensuring Financial access to quality health services while protecting individuals and families from impoverishment due to huge medical bills is the cardinal objective of the scheme.

In their responses, the Monarchs appreciated His Excellency the Governor of Gombe State Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for this laudable initiative and assured of their total support to the scheme.

Questions raised by the audience in the different palaces reflect acceptability and understanding of the basic principle underlying the initiative. It includes issues around enrolment, benefit package, number of dependents of principal enrolle, choice of health care provider, etc..
