GOVERNOR MUHAMMADU INUWA YAHAYA SAVES LIVES ....AS MORE VULNERABLE PEOPLE ARE SAVED FROM LIFE THREATENING AILMENTS
Zainab Babangida is a full-time housewife from Sansani, she was diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy, at Kekkel Primary Healthcare Centre, Billiri LGA from where they were transferred to General Hospital, Kaltungo.
Upon commencement of procedure for removal of the ectopic pregnancy, the doctors discovered an inflammation of the appendix and successfully conducted a laparotomy -for both ailments.
Her husband Babangida Aliyu, who couldn't hide his joy, said his wife has been in this condition for close to a year, but they couldn't visit a hospital for proper medication because of his financial status. Thanks to the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund, an initiative of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's administration, they have a reason to smile.
He recalled when they were told to register it seemed to him it wouldn't come to pass, but today he can testify that
the scheme is real and truly for the poor, as all medical expenses were totally free. The family commended His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, saying this is the first of its kind in the state.
Dr. Abdurrahman Y. Lamido, the Hospital Secretary commended GoHealth for their dedication, proactiveness and responsiveness. He also made a call to the state government to incorporate more poor and vulnerable into the scheme.
